Cape Vulture Lodge has been purposefully designed to immerse guests in the wonderful African wilderness that surrounds it, whilst keeping its environmental footprint to an absolute minimum.
The spacious main lodge building and its expansive viewing decks are where you'll discover the meaning of "escape" as you relax to the songs of a myriad birds, enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountains beyond. With its spacious indoor and outdoor lounge and dining areas, sunken boma for evenings around a crackling log fire and fully stocked bar, this is the beating heart of Cape Vulture Lodge.
African sunshine
A pathway leads to the pool area with its sparkling swimming pool surrounded by another spacious deck dotted with comfortable loungers. This is the perfect place to cool off on a warm summer's afternoon or soak up the sunshine with a bottle of fine South African wine or an obligatory craft gin and tonic!
In the evening our lodge fire is lit in our sunken boma where you can gather for pre-dinner drinks to share the day's adventures. It's also the perfect place to end the evening, marveling at the diamond-studded night skies above you before heading off to bed.

Our innovative, eco-friendly tented suites are built on raised wooden decks. Each of Cape Vulture Lodge's nine tented suites is a safari experience in its own right.
Activities
We have a wide variety of plains game on the Conservancy and a dazzling array of birdlife, not the least of which are the 650 breeding pairs of Cape vultures.
